Digitization of amateur films in 8mm, Super 8, 9.5mm and 16mm formats

“Kinoclub Super 8” is equipped with professional frame-by-frame digitization technology for amateur films.
We offer three digitization options:
  1. Free digitization when the film reels are donated and usage rights to the archival material are granted.

  2. 50% discounted digitization when the reels are retained by the owner but usage rights to the archival material are granted.

  3. Standard-rate digitization when neither the reels are donated nor usage rights are granted. Pricing is based on the total runtime of the films and includes cleaning and splicing of the film, frame-by-frame digitization, and color correction.

“Kinoclub Super 8” archive is available for use in television productions, film projects, and a wide range of other creative or research purposes.

Our archive holds over 800 amateur films, spanning from the 1930s to the late 1980s. We offer curated access to this collection for television productions and other audiovisual projects.

Upon request, we can prepare a tailored selection of materials around a chosen theme.

Filmmakers and producers are welcome to use either complete films or selected excerpts, depending on the needs of their project.

Research

We’re here to help you find the archival content that best fits your needs.
Our team can help you find the perfect content for your project. Simply provide us with a clearly defined topic or a set of keywords, and we will search both our own archive and the broader network of archival sources we have access to in order to locate the most suitable film materials.

Pricing is also determined individually, based on the duration of the research process and any applicable copyright or licensing fees for content not owned by our archive.
